Just the other evening Jamyson and I were home alone and getting him ready for bed. I was putting a few clothes away and Jamyson asked me who my Mema was. I told him she was my grandmother just like Gaga is his grandmother. He asked a little about her and said maybe he could meet her some day. I told him she had passed away and that she was in heaven. He then asked how he could get to heaven. I had to stop in my tracks and sit on the bed with him to continue this conversation. I told him to get to heaven we had to ask Jesus to come live in our heart. He said why and that let to sin, "Momma, what is sin?" Oh my, I thought, this is going to be a difficult conversation. I began to talk a little and he said, "Hang on momma, Jesus will you come live in my heart? Okay, momma, I think I am ready to meet her now." My heart stopped and I was pretty sure he did not get it all right now. I told him that we would keep talking about his and that one day I sure hope that we would get to see my Mema together.

All of this makes me again thankful that God gives me the chance to go stop and sieze opportunities with my little boy. That moment will be etched ini my mind forever. He was so serious and so interested in all that I had to say. The moment also taught me not to take for granted every chance to talk to Jamyson about Jesus.

Summer Vacation

I want to begin to put in words what is going through my mind about the end of summer vacation for me. I would say this has been the most memorable summer for me since I can remember. This is my first summer to have extended time off and spend with Jamyson and my family. I am going to miss late night nilla wafers while watching Hannah Montana, waking up in the mornings and seeing him smiling asking "Where are we going today?" Not a day was wasted. If feel like we packed in all that we could every day and still took time for naps!!! From swimming lessons watching Claire and Hannah being scared of the water to little fish by the end of a few weeks was remarkable. Watching the little personality of Kate blossom is priceless. I am determined to get her to tell everyone "I love you" and us sign language!! Little Owen worked so hard to be like te older kids and jumped in like the rest and began to swim without his life jacket by end of summer!! He is an example of hard work paying off. Prayton just cracks me up. I love hearing him tell me stories and to start getting hugs from him has been so warming. Then there is my little man. He is one thing that I can say I would do just about anything for!!! In loving him I think I am beginning to get more of a glance of exactly how my Heavenly Father loves me. Jamyson is amazing. He has a HUGE heart and has a good time just living life. He has taught me so much and I have loved watching him every day grow up. I tell him all the time that I love him just the way he is and I mean it. There is so much in life that we think we need to have or need to do but I have learned this summer that there is so much in life I am missing by thinking too much. I need to step back and watch, observe and see what gifts God has placed right in front of me. I am always thinking about what's next opposed to what is going on now. Because what is going on right now is that God has given me the best husband in the world along with the best son in the world and I want to enjoy those gifts to the fullest. I want to be grateful.

Rain, Rain.....

.....go away, Science Place here we come today!! We had a good time inside today as we thought rain was going to ruin the day. It turned out to be a great day outside but we enjoyed it indoors all the same. The kids love to push all the buttons and have the freedom to manipulate things in a way they normally are not allowed to do!!! The firetruck is always a hit as well as the farm. Discovery added with the right company is a combination for fun!!! We did decide to eat outdoors in the nice weather. They day ended with nothing less than a bang! I fell into the lake next to the red climbing exhibits outside. It was a very embarrassing event and I am sure this memory will find its way back to me for a long time!!!!!
