Allie in Afghanistan

Tomorrow one of 'my girls' will leave for Afghanistan. She is a remarkable young lady that I love dearly. God allowed me a few short years of my life to spend with 4 amazing girls. They have all forever changed my life. Every Sunday evening they would gather at my house and sit around our table. We would eat, talk, laugh, discuss the Bible and pray for one another. I shared so much of me and I learned so much from them that many times I felt like the student.

These 4 girls prayed and walked alongside Jamie and I through the birth and adoption of Jamyson. There were there when Jamyson came home from the hospital. Now they are all of in different directions serving God. I am not suprised at what they are doing at all.

One will leave tomorrow to start her career as a teacher/missionary in a foreign country. She is strong and will be a great teacher. My prayers and best wishes go with her. Watch out Afghanistan, there is a young lady headed your way. she has a killer smile, beautiful face, wit of a comedian and a heart for Jesus. She will make and impact and give Him all the glory.

Go Allie, go and be a disciple for Him. Change the world one little heart at a time. The reunions for you and loved ones may seem too few and too short....but...one day, one day Miss Allie, the reunion in heaven with souls you have encountered will all be worth the journey. With tears I write these words but with a confident heart I pray your trip will be one that words cannot describle, only your emotions will recall.

Thank you God for my friend.
